Internal Pipe Heating Torch

When the weld zone needs to be preheated without obstructing the outer joint or affecting the external coating, Technical Pipeline's Internal Heating Torch does the job where it matters most — inside the pipe. Positioned in the bore directly behind the weld joint, it brings the pipe end up to the correct preheat temperature before the root pass begins. A ring-style burner directs flame evenly around the internal circumference of the pipe, heating the joint area uniformly rather than in isolated hot spots that can leave uneven thermal stress across the weld. The number of burners scales with pipe size — from 3 burners on the smallest models up to 10 on the largest — keeping heat output matched to the larger surface area on bigger diameters. The torch is available with manual or automatic ignition, and covers standard models from 10" to 60", with no gaps between sizes. Because it operates from inside the bore, the outer surface and coating of the pipe are left untouched, and the welder has an unobstructed outer joint to work on once preheating is complete.
