The Fit-Up Clamp is EquipmentForPipe's solution for rapid, precise alignment of pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-flange joints before root tacking. Designed for pipe fitters and welders who need to load, align, and release a workpiece in seconds, this clamp is engineered to reduce fatigue on repetitive fit-up tasks while maintaining tight tolerances on the finished joint. Three independent fine-adjustment screws allow the operator to pre-set the pipe diameter and compensate for minor ovality or edge mismatch, bringing the mating edges into flush alignment before the root pass. The open-frame design leaves the joint fully accessible, so root tacks and structural weld beads can be completed without removing the clamp early. A compact footprint gives welders clear visual and physical access to the joint, even in confined or overhead positions. The range is available in five standard models covering 1" to 16" (33.4–406.4 mm), with a recommended wall thickness of 1–15 mm across the range. Its light, compact build makes it best suited to short, lightweight pipe sections that need to be handled and repositioned quickly, rather than remaining clamped in place for extended periods. Optional stainless steel contact points prevent iron cross-contamination on stainless and high-purity applications.
